Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Ministry of Culture and Tourism (DCT Abu Dhabi) has announced a new update of the âGreen Listâ of countries for inbound travel to Abu Dhabi.
The updated list includes 82 destinations, and all travelers arriving from updated âGreen Listâ destinations are exempt from quarantine measures after landing in Abu Dhabi. The list has been in effect since Friday, October 8.
The list supports the relaxation of travel restrictions while maintaining security protocols in the emirate.
Travelers will be required to present a negative COVID-19 PCR test result, valid a maximum of 48 hours before departure, and undergo a PCR test upon arrival at Abu Dhabi International Airport. Passengers vaccinated from the updated âGreen Listâ will undergo another PCR test on Day 6, the day of their arrival in Abu Dhabi counting as Day 1. Unvaccinated travelers arriving from âGreen Listâ countries will undergo, by however, a PCR test on days 6 and 9.
The list is regularly updated based on international developments, and the DCT said inclusion on the list is subject to strict criteria of health and safety protocols for travel, ensuring and prioritizing the well-being of the community of the United Arab Emirates.
The authority also clarified that the place mentioned on the âGreen Listâ refers to the point of departure of travelers, and not to their nationality.
